Does it make a difference what type of radiologist reads your mammograms?
At the Valley Imaging Center, all breast imaging studies (mammograms, breast ultrasounds and breast MRI) are interpreted by a board-certified radiologist who is specialized in breast imaging. Dr. Joseph M. Cannon has more than 20 years of experience in interpreting these studies. Some studies have suggested that the use of a specialized radiologist, and the greater experience of radiologist who interprets higher numbers of these exams, improves diagnostic accuracy.
